STUDIO M.

The only specialists in vintage poster conservation & restoration in Australia. Studio M. was founded by Michael Brewster, a paper conservator with over 15 years experience in the poster industry. After studying fine art at the University of Western Sydney and later the College of Fine Arts Sydney, he spent 8 years working in New York City, managing some of the city’s largest poster restoration studios and vintage poster galleries. In 2008, Michael returned to Sydney to establish Studio M. In 2017, Studio M. relocated to Melbourne under the management of conservator, Hanna Sandgren. Hanna studied fine art at Gotlands Konstskola, Sweden and design at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Sydney. She has since completed a Masters degree in fine art conservation at the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation (GCCMC), University of Melbourne. Hanna has worked with vintage posters for over 4 years.
